Controlled Power does not do the actual equipment installation. We have a network of certified contractor and electricians who do the work. You can purchase the generator and transfer switch through these professionals for a "one price for everything" job, or purchase the generator from us and arrange for your own installation.

In either case, the cost of the generator from Controlled Power includes what is called the "initial start up and test". After your system is installed, we come to your site. verify that the installation was done properly, perform the initial start up of the generator, test the system, show you how it works, and submit the warranty paperwork to the factory. All this is included at no extra charge to you.

The generator is usually installed near the home or business. It should be a minimum of three feet away from the structure, and can be quite a distance away if certain circumstances dictate. A small concrete pad is used to support the generator.
